Our Recent Work in the Medical Field
Recently, KRUTSCH partnered with the Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation® (MHIF) to develop five groundbreaking apps designed to enhance surgical performance for cardiologists worldwide. Surgery requires precision and expertise, and our innovative apps empower cardiologists to address common challenges, acquire new skills, and confidently navigate complex medical devices. There are unique features and capabilities of each app that contribute to the revolution of cardiac surgery worldwide, let's talk about them.
Redo Tav
Our team was approached to build the Redo TAV mobile app, a sophisticated tool designed to improve how surgeons assess coronary risk for patients requiring valve replacement. Leveraging our deep expertise, we engineered an interactive platform that operates seamlessly both offline and online, empowering clinicians to make informed decisions at the point of care. Our solution represents a significant advancement in cardiovascular healthcare, enhancing the precision and efficiency of coronary risk assessment.

ViV Aortic & Mitral
MHIF once again entrusted KRUTSCH with the task of revitalizing their legacy mobile apps, which were originally developed by a cariothoracic surgeon from their Valve Science Center Research Team. The ViV Aoritc and Viv Mitral apps, designed in 2013, underwent a comprehensive refresh, focusing on both visual enhancements and backend improvements.
While these apps cater to different prosthetic heart valve procedures, they share a unified workflow aimed at guiding clinicians through Valve in Valve procedures, a minimally invasive surgical technique.
Our updates standardized the visual language across all MHIF mobile apps, ensuring a cohesive user experience. We streamlined user paths and simplified navigation with intuitive tap gestures, enhancing usability without compromising offline functionality.
To support seamless operability, we implemented a relational database filled with cloud-managed content curated by MHIF. This not only maintains offline accessibility but also gives real-time updates and data synchronization, securing up-to-date resources at the fingertips of clinicians.
